ORCA - National, Regional, and Local Job Postings and more...

  • ORCA, the CDC's Online Resource for Career Advancement, is a job posting system for local, national and international, full-time and part-time jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities.
  • In addition to ORCA, you also have access to a national job posting site, NACE. This link can be found on ORCA. Login to ORCA and click on the Jobs tab to access NACElink Network's Job Postings.
  • Find potential employers using CareerShift, a job search portal including access to an extensive and up-to-date employer and job opportunity database. CareerShift can be accessed by logging onto ORCA and clicking on "CareerShift" located in your "Quick Links" menu.

Alumni Login to ORCA

As an alumnus you can logon using your Banner ID as your username and your last name (capital first letter) as your password. If you have not logged into ORCA since July 1, 2011, you need to submit an alumni request using your Banner ID. Banner ID is required. You may click here for Banner ID lookup. If you do not have or do not remember your network login credentials contact the help desk (716-878-4357) for your Banner ID. Graduates prior to 1/82 please call the CDC.

Hiring a Buffalo State Student or Alumni

ORCA

As an employer you may post your job, internship and volunteer opportunities online and source resumes on ORCA (The Online Resource for Career Advancement). After the position expiration date, they will also be archived so that you may open, close, edit, and re-post as needed. Many employers find it most convenient to manage their own postings and to source resumes through ORCA (The Online Resource for Career Advancement). Simply, create a free ORCA employer account to list your openings and when prompted to "request access," select Buffalo State College.

Visiting Campus to Recruit

You can also participate in a Recruitment Event on the Buffalo State campus: Many employers find it convenient to reach out to students in many ways: staffing information tables in our Student Union, presenting a group information session, interviewing on-campus, and/or attending our job fairs. For more information on any of these opportunities please contact the CDC at (716) 878-5811 or complete the Employer Information Form.

Connect on LinkedIn

Join the Buffalo State Career Development Center (CDC) group to connect with students and alumni about careers, job searching and opportunities available at your organization. This is also a great way to connect with fellow alumni.

Other Ways to Get Involved with Students and Alumni

Volunteer for Career Development Center sponsored programs and activities involving students and alumni. There are many opportunities to become involved with student groups and academic functions that compliment your organization's needs.
