Sheana Ramcharan - Forensic Chemistry & Anthropology

For me, it was very challenging to obtain an in-person internship especially during the pandemic. I am currently interning at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and I owe it all to the Career and Professional Education Center (CAPE) for helping me tailor my resume to the specific field I was applying for. Because of my internship, I have been accepted to 2 competitive graduate programs for the Fall semester.

The CAPE worked with me one on one to make my resume an extension of myself. They focused on my areas that needed improvement and helped to make me the best version of myself professionally. CAPE professionals were so understanding and really cared about my story and my goals. They are passionate about helping students succeed and I am forever thankful for the valuable advice they have shared with me.

The CAPE is the best resource to students wanting advice and help in the field of professionalism as a whole. My advice to other students would be to spend the time and do the work so that you can achieve the goals and dream job that you want.
