Services for Employers

The Buffalo State College Career Development Center (CDC) welcomes your partnership and supports your recruiting efforts as you reach out to Buffalo State students/alumni. We ask that all employers who wish to promote job and internship opportunities please adhere to the following guidelines to ensure successful hiring. These policies and guidelines have been established for all recruiting activities sponsored by the CDC.

  1. Job/Internship Postings. The Career Development Center posts full-time, part-time, summer or internship opportunities using BengalLink, powered by Simplicty. Simply, create a free BengalLink employer account to list your openings. We highly encourage organizations to post positions themselves for more immediate release to students/alumni. You can also e-mail the job/internship postings.

  2. Resume Referral Service. The resumes of current Buffalo State students and alumni in more than 80 academic programs may be viewed using BengalLink.

  3. Recruiting On Campus. Interested in recruiting on campus? Complete the Employer Information Form to get started. Recruitment on campus takes place during the fall and spring semesters.

    • Information Table. A highly visible method to gain exposure for your organization is to reserve a table in our Student Union. Call well in advance to be sure to guarantee your date.

    • Group Information Sessions. Another way to gain exposure for your organization is to schedule a group information session. Choose the date you would like to speak with students and we will do the rest.

    • On-Campus Recruitment. Choose the date you'd like to interview at Buffalo State and we will schedule your appointments with selected candidates. Interviews may be conducted both in-person in the CDC or virtually. Just give us a call at (716) 878-5811 or e-mail us.

  4. Connect on LinkedIn. Join the Buffalo State Career Development Center (CDC) group to connect with students and alumni about careers, job searching and opportunities available at your organization.

  5. Career and Job Fairs. Call (716) 878-5811 to obtain fair information.

  6. Salary Rates. A good resource for salaries offered to college graduates is the NACE Salary Calculator.
