Services for Alumni
Individual Career Counseling
Appointments may be made to discuss the following with a career counselor: resume, cover letter, interviewing skills, job searching, career decision making, and selecting and applying to graduate school.
- If you are an alumnus who has graduated within the last three years, you can meet with a career counselor by contacting our office at 716-878-5811, or stopping by Cleveland 306 to schedule an appointment.
- If you are an alumnus who has graduated more than three years ago, individual appointments may be scheduled with our alumni counselor. If you are interested in meeting with the counselor, please contact our office to schedule an appointment. There is a $25 fee for a one hour appointment. Please contact the CAPE for further information.

Job Fairs
The Career and Professional Education Center hosts a variety of on and off campus career and job fairs and events open to alumni. Learn more about the job fairs and events.

- BengalLink, is the CAPE's job posting system for local, national and international, full-time and part-time jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities.
- Find potential employers using CareerShift, a job search portal including access to an extensive and up-to-date employer and job opportunity database.
Alumni Access to BengalLink
As an alumnus you can access BengalLink using your Banner ID and password. We recommend using your Buffalo State email address when registering. If you do not have such an address, you can send email to alumni@buffalostate.edu to request an alumni email account; or, if you graduated after October 2011, you can have your old email address re-activated. Banner ID is required and you may lookup your ID here. This lookup process requires your network login credentials. If you do not have or do not remember your network login credentials, contact the help desk (716-878-4357) for your Banner ID. Graduates prior to 1/82 please call the CAPE.

Visiting Campus to Recruit
You can also participate in a recruitment event on campus. Many employers find it convenient to reach out to students in many ways: staffing information tables in our Student Union, presenting a group information session, interviewing on-campus, and/or attending our job fairs.
